Plaza Home Mortgage, Inc., a national wholesale mortgage company headquartered in San Diego, California, has a full-time opportunity for an SVP, Wholesale Operations with our San Diego, California Corporate Office

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB AND CONTRIBUTION TO ORGANIZATION:
The SVP of Wholesale Operations will proactively identify industry trends and business issues, set the strategic direction for the business, develop sound business plan tactics, and strategically prioritize business initiatives. The SVP will play a key role in developing business plans, achieving forecasts, and ensuring customer excellence in partnership with Sales.
 
 
ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Must comply with all BSA/AML requirements as well as any mandatory changes. The following job functions are not all-inclusive. The associate will be required to perform other job-related tasks/responsibilities requested by the manager.  Job duties may change as required by needs of company.  Must complete all required industry and compliance training as required by Plaza Home Mortgage.
 
  1. Collaborates with internal and external business partners, to ensure business operations are efficient and effective.
  2. Responsible for identifying and implementing process improvement initiatives aligned with our key drivers.
  3. Build a proactive and organized culture to consistently move the business forward.
  4. Communicate with regional sales and operations to achieve corporate and channel goals.
  5. Support short and long-range financial development and management of the channel.
  6. Attracts, retains, and motivates the team to achieve management business objectives.
  7. Ensures the wholesale channel is meeting all objectives pertaining to quality, compliance, regulations, productivity, customer service, budget, and project management.


Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum 15 years in the mortgage banking/financial services industry with at least 10 years in a senior operations management role
  • Well-rounded senior operations management experience with a successful track record of managing large and sophisticated loan operations covering multiple lines of business
  • Strong ability to cultivate and develop talent within the team to support growth and expansion
  • Understanding of a variety of systems, loan operations, workforce planning, and procedures in order to effectively grow and develop best practices for the channel
  • Futuristic and visionary, drives strategic and long-range business/operating plans for the channel
  • Works effectively in a cooperative environment
  • Ability to inspire and innovative, continuously improving the company culture
