PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB AND CONTRIBUTION TO ORGANIZATION:

The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for testing and improving Plaza’s new BREEZE Loan Origination Software. This position will work with technical teams, project managers, and stakeholders of various levels in developing and implementing software.


Job Requirements
ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Must comply with all BSA/AML requirements as well as any mandatory changes. The following job functions are not all-inclusive. The associate will be required to perform other job-related tasks/responsibilities requested by the manager.  Job duties may change as required by needs of company.  Must complete all required industry and compliance training as required by Plaza Home Mortgage.
 
  1. Design and develop test cases and implementation for testing and debugging software applications.
  2. Participate in planning and implementing the software development process.
  3. Monitor, maintain, optimize, configure and troubleshoot software systems.
  4. Work with project management to define accurate quality functional expectations.
  5. Plan, execute, review, analyze and improve the development lifecycle process.
  6. Work closely with project managers, subject matter experts, and users to identify desired features and to understand business needs.
  7. Follow the quality assurance process by participating in code reviews and test reviews.
  8. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years applied experience as a Quality Assurance Analyst engaged in complex, process improvement and technology projects
  • Knowledge of Mortgage LOS applications a plus
  • Experience in using Test Management tools i.e. TestRail or QA Complete for Jira
  • Ability to write Functional and Regression Test Scripts thoroughly
  • Perform Functional and Regression test run during Sprints
  • Experience in automation preferred
  • Technical planning, project management, and implementation skills
  • Ability to discuss technical issues effectively with other professionals as well as non-technical users
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interact and communicate with stakeholders of varying levels of expertise
  • Ability to translate system enhancements and defects into business impacts, compliance risk, procedures and process changes and user needs
  • Ability to conduct meetings, gather information and present status to stakeholders
  • Process improvement capabilities
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills essential
  • An understanding of testing as it occurs in a software development project
  • Skilled in working on projects that follow a traditional water fall SDLC
  • Knowledge working on projects that follow Agile or SCRUM Agile methodologies
  • Proven aptitude to work collaboratively with multiple team members
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to consistently prioritize and produce accurate work within set deadlines required
  • Ability to manage time and multi-task in  fast-paced environment
  • Technology/Mortgage/Financial Industry a strong plus
