Plaza Home Mortgage, Inc., a national mortgage company headquartered in San Diego, California, has an excellent opportunity for a National Inside Account Manager with our Jacksonville, Florida Wholesale Branch.

We originate mortgage loans on both a wholesale and correspondent basis.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB AND CONTRIBUTION TO ORGANIZATION:

This position is responsible for producing and leading a group of inside sales associates.
 
ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Must comply with all BSA/AML requirements as well as any mandatory changes. The following job functions are not all-inclusive. The associate will be required to perform other job-related tasks/responsibilities requested by the manager.  Job duties may change as required by needs of company.  Must complete all required industry and compliance training as required by Plaza Home Mortgage.
  1. Manage inside sales team toward achieving Plaza’s sales goals and increasing customer service.
  2. Partner with sales, operations, and underwriting to take care of customers and increase sales.
  3. Oversee and manage inside sales team and production.
  4. Meet and exceed inside customer service and production standards consistent with company policies and procedures.
  5. Ensure files to inside sales team are meeting metrics and increasing customer service.
  6. Understand and abide by conforming to FHA, USDA, and Reverse mortgage guidelines and agency/regulatory requirements.
  7. Assist Regional Vice Presidents and leadership with managing office activities to achieve production goals, growth, and profitability in the region.
  8. Recruit, interview, and hire elite inside sales talent.
  9. Motivate and develop team,
  10. Be proactive in retaining current associates (employees) and managing performance.
  11. Actively participate in local and state mortgage banking, realtor, and builder trade associations.
  12. Maintain a thorough understanding of mortgage industry regulations, trends, and current issues.
  13. Communicate business goals, objectives, and company performance results to inside sales team
  14. Promote an effective sales environment through sales training, individual and team coaching, and sales contests.
  15. Develop knowledge of company products, policies, procedures, and underwriting requirements.
  16. Inform prospective and existing customers of loan programs, rates, policies, underwriting requirements, and loan procedures.
  17. Analyze detailed financial and credit data, matching customer needs with an appropriate loan program and level of risk.
  18. Receive/review customer applications; quote the rate and points, and complete follow-up activities throughout the complete loan process.
  19. Perform miscellaneous duties as needed and required.


Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; College degree preferred
  • Minimum of five years of experience in loan origination with a track record of success in the mortgage industry and have the ability to motivate the staff
  • Current producing client base is strongly desired
  • Must process solid understanding of wholesale loan origination, underwriting process and procedures, and mortgage industry standards
  • Excellent, written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills essential along with strong presentation skills
  • Professional demeanor to effectively interact with all branch and company personnel as well as brokers
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to efficiently and consistently produce accurate work and manage time.
  • Solid commitment to customer service with excellent client relation skills
  • Analytical ability with an aptitude for figures necessary
  • Proficiency with computer systems including MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and Internet Browsers
  • Account Executives who will be driving on company business will be required to maintain a valid driver’s license, car insurance, and a clean driving record
