PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB AND CONTRIBUTION TO ORGANIZATION:
This position is responsible for ensuring that all hardware and operating systems are working correctly and efficiently to maintain production schedules and service levels. The IT Operations Engineer provides support to the operations team in resolving technical issues.
 
ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must comply with all BSA/AML requirements as well as any mandatory changes. The following job functions are not all-inclusive. The associate will be required to perform other job-related tasks/responsibilities requested by the manager. Job duties may change as required by needs of company. Must complete all required industry and compliance training as required by Plaza Home Mortgage.
  • Provides information to operations team by researching, analyzing, and communicating engineering data and trends.
  • Improves operational quality results by analyzing and recommending process re-design.
  • Develops operational solutions by determining impact on the total system.
  • Managing the deployment, operation, and security of BREEZE and other systems.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues with internal and external customers.
  • Proactively develop and monitor existing and new IT infrastructures.
  • Assists with the design, implementation, and improvement of cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting hardware, software and systems for all phases of product development.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT related field
  • 5+ years of applied IT Operations Engineer experience or related experience
  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure
  • Ability to analyze and problem solve complex technical issues
  • Strong understanding of test engineering concepts
  • Ability to communicate complex IT concepts to operations team and stakeholders
  • Specialist in complex technical and business matters
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency with computer systems at an advanced level including MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and Internet Browsers
  • Mortgage/Financial Industry a strong plus
