PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB AND CONTRIBUTION TO ORGANIZATION:

Provide operational support to each Regional Operation Center (ROC), including Reverse and Correspondent divisions. Ensure loans are originated and closed in compliance within company policy and procedures.  Support Corporate Operations team in conducting loan level reviews of application and closing packages; assist with overflow registrations and closings from each ROC, which includes coordination of the loan process through the drawing of closing packages and requesting of funds.
 
ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
 
The following job functions are not all-inclusive.  The associate will be required to perform other job-related tasks/responsibilities requested by the manager.  Job duties may change as required by needs of company.  Must complete all required industry and compliance training as required by Plaza Home Mortgage.
  1. Provide support for the loan process from loan registration to funding and post closing. This includes answering queries related to process, policy, and compliance.
  2. Monitor Corporate Operations email box for questions and respond accordingly utilizing the ServiceNow system.
  3. Communicate Lending Operations Policy and Procedure updates to the Corporate Operations Quality Manager to support process improvements and efficiencies.
  4. Conduct loan level audits of files to ensure compliance with all company policy and procedures, racking of all audit results.
  5. Prepare upfront and closing documents for Employee, Friends and Family loans.  This includes reviewing loan file for completeness and accuracy (including fees), validate loan passes all federal and state compliance validation tests, and ensure compliance with all Plaza policies and procedures.
  6. Other duties as assigned.



Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Mortgage experience required
  • High school degree or equivalent required.
  • Working knowledge of TRID (aka “Know before you owe”), RESPA and other Federal, State and industry compliance requirements.
  • Ability to produce upfront and closing loan packages in both non-escrow and escrow states.
  • Familiar with FHA, VA, FNMA, & FHLMC & USDA closing documents, including renovation loans such as 203K and HomeStyle.
  • Understanding of Wholesale/Correspondent process flow.  Knowledge of Reverse Mortgage processes a plus
  • Experience with Loan Origination Systems and paperless file environment and image software repository
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills essential.
  • Strong attention to detail, and ability to efficiently and consistently produce accurate work.
  • Capability of multi-tasking and prioritizing work in fast-paced environment with heavy volume of transactions as well as be able to meet and handle deadlines.
  • Solid commitment to customer and associate service necessary.
  • Outstanding problem-solving and independent judgment skills.
  • Proven aptitude to work in both a team and individual environment.
  • Proficiency with computer systems including MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and Internet Browsers.
