This position is responsible for providing analysis and QA support to the Business Intelligence team. The selected candidate will be an analytical, data-savvy, highly motivated critical thinker.  They will be responsible for working collaboratively with end-users, subject matter experts, IT analysts and technical staff to understand, analyze, and communicate complex reporting needs, and to ensure all aspects of current and future BI solutions enhance organizational decision making.
Must comply with all BSA/AML requirements as well as any mandatory changes. The following job functions are not all-inclusive. The associate will be required to perform other job-related tasks/responsibilities requested by the manager.  Job duties may change as required by needs of company.  Must complete all required industry and compliance training as required by Plaza Home Mortgage.
  • Provides analysis for the development of business intelligence solutions.
  • Analyzes business needs and creates functional requirements based on interactions with subject matter experts, BI developers and database team.
  • Analyzes the capabilities of existing reports and dashboards ensuring functionality and customization where necessary.
  • Manages report request queue
  • Participates in the planning, designing, and execution of user testing efforts and migration to Production.
  • Designs and delivers end-user training and training materials,
  • Strong understanding of testing methodologies and practice
  • Experience with writing test plans, test cases, and scripts based on business requirements
  • Experience in database query manipulation , writing SQL statements and stored procedures using Microsoft SQL

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) required, Information Systems or Business. Advanced degree a plus.
  • 3-5 years related experience required 
  • SQL & Crystal reporting
  • Experience working with stakeholders and end-users to define, test, elicit and deliver functional BI requirements
  • Strong analytical skills including ability to think critically
  • Knowledge of reporting tools
  • Experience using Microsoft SQL
  • Analytical and communication skills
  • Expertise with MS Excel
  • Must be flexible and work analytically in a problem-solving, results-oriented environment
  • Must be able to clearly communicate stakeholder reporting needs
  • Must be willing to work with and learn new technologies
  • Must be action oriented with excellent follow through
